- Cardiovascular protective effects (reduced risk of heart attack, stroke)
- Possible positive effects on inflammation markers and fatty liver
Dosage:
- Beginners / Titration: Start with 0.25 mg per week for 4 weeks → then 0.5 mg per week
- Standard / Weight loss:Â 1.0 mg per week (most common effective dose)
- Advanced / maximum effect:Â 1.7 mg or 2.4 mg per week (Wegovy dose)
- For a 30 mg vial: typically for several weeks/months depending on the dosage (e.g., at 1 mg/week ≈ 30 weeks of use)
Notes:
- Always titrate slowly (at least 4 weeks per dose step) to minimize side effects.
- Typical side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue (mostly in the first few weeks).
- Injectable subcutaneously (abdomen, thigh or upper arm). Can be administered at any time of day, regardless of meals.
- Refrigeration recommended (do not freeze). Once opened, it can be stored for approximately 28–56 days, depending on reconstitution.
- Cycle length: Long-term therapy is possible and common (months to years), regular medical check-ups are recommended (blood count, kidney function, etc.).
- Combining it with a calorie-reduced diet and exercise maximizes the results.
